12 months temporary full-time opportunity commencing October 2026 (maternity cover) NSW office location based in Penrith. Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $154,231 to $178,369 + super.

We're seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Officer to join the Office of the CEO at the Bradfield Development Authority on a 12-month maternity leave opportunity commencing in October 2026. This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of one of Australia's most significant city-building projects, providing strategic executive support and helping drive organisational priorities that will shape the future of Western Sydney.

As Executive Officer, you'll provide high-level executive, governance, secretariat and operational support to the CEO while coordinating complex business priorities across the organisation. You'll manage sensitive matters with professionalism and sound judgement, prepare strategic advice and high-quality communications, and work closely with senior leaders, Board members and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of organisational objectives. This is a fast-paced and influential role where your ability to anticipate issues, build trusted relationships and navigate competing priorities will be essential to achieving outstanding outcomes.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive, governance or secretariat support within a complex organisational or government environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality correspondence, briefings, reports and strategic advice for senior executives.
  • Strong judgement, discretion and integrity when managing confidential, politically sensitive or complex matters.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships with executives, Board members, government agencies and external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Outstanding planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight timeframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience identifying risks, developing practical solutions and supporting informed decision-making.
  • A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement, accountability and delivering exceptional public sector outcomes.

What is an essential requirement:

Degree in a relevant Business Management/Administration discipline or relevant senior experience.
