By assessing education need and developing plans to support our learners, they will develop skills to become better prepared for employment and further education upon release.By supporting a diverse range of learners, you will be able to provide targeted support including industry training and a range of educational programmes. This will allow you to make a real impact in their lives and help keep our communities safer.**Mōu | About you**We would like to hear from you if you have:* Prior experience within a trades or industry area* Experience working with adults who have not previously experienced education success* Demonstrated ability assessing learning needs and developing individual learning pathways* Awareness and the ability to support individuals with learning differences by using alternative methods of learning and a thinking “outside the box” approach* The ability to engage and work successfully with Māori and Pasifika learners* A tertiary qualification and/or a qualification in adult education (this is preferred but not essential)* Demonstrated competency in using computer applications including the Microsoft Office Suite* Sound knowledge if New Zealand Qualifications Framework* A strengths-based approach that embraces manaakitanga and whanaungatanga* Excellent communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to influence, inspire and motivate learners* Strong and accurate administrative skills* A full NZ driver licenceYou will also be someone who is inclusive and approachable with experience across an industry based training space who wants to work with the men in our care to gain meaningful skills to assist with employment on release.**Ngā painga | The benefits**The salary range is $77,841 – $86,152 per annum spanning 4 levels with appointment aligned with prior skills and qualifications at level 1 or level 2.
