As a Case Manager, you will provide specialist, end-to-end management of people serving sentences as they work through programmes aimed at addressing rehabilitation and reintegration needs. This includes initial assessment, needs identification, case planning, and partnering with whānau and external agencies to support rehabilitation. Case Managers also prepare reports and recommendations for the Parole Board, which means there is a significant amount of report writing in the role.Our Case Managers meet directly with people in prison and seek to understand what is required to support their rehabilitation and reintegration. This is a rewarding but also challenging aspect of the role as you will encounter a diverse range of offending, such as violence or offending against children, and this can be confronting for some people. While you will have a supportive team and a solid training pathway to help you build your skills, high levels of resilience are required.Case Managers lead rehabilitation and reintegration using a person-centric approach.
