Blend product management skills with HR expertise to lead HR transformation through design, testing and deployment of the new system. Champion Synergy and build strong relationships with Product Managers, Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts across all four departments. Work flexibly within an AGILE, multi‐disciplinary team, adapting quickly to changing priorities. Support HR convergence and own the future‐focused, end‐to‐end transformational design, maintaining design integrity throughout. Contribute to a positive, inclusive programme culture while supporting senior leaders. Play a key role as the programme transitions from design to build and service readiness, ensuring consistent implementation across departments. Partner with suppliers to build the solution and supporting services, driving adoption and guiding teams through complexity to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead a portfolio of critical Core Build design activities aligned to the Synergy programme plan.
- Continue to optimise transformation opportunities within areas of accountability.
Product Expertise
- Act as a product expert for your design areas across key programme milestones.
- Support other Synergy workstreams including onboarding the Synergy Business Process Services Provider and establishing the Shared Service hub.
Multi‐Disciplinary Collaboration
- Work across a multi‐disciplinary team representing the programme to various stakeholder groups.
- Lead a design squad comprising departmental HR leads, Synergy technical teams, business change, and external delivery partners.
Job Architecture & Catalogue Governance
- Govern, promote, and progress the common Synergy job catalogue, collaborating with functions such as Finance and Source to Pay.
- Ensure alignment with Government People Group through regular engagement, reviews, and coordinated delivery planning.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Act as an expert on Synergy job architecture and position management across the four departments.
- Support departments in preparing for implementation, addressing challenges, and identifying solutions.
- Use HR functional expertise to help departments adopt new ways of working through cloud‐based technology.
Person specification
- Understanding of building standardised job frameworks or position management implementation (Lead Criteria).
- Proven track record of leadership and change management of HR transformation at scale.
- Ability to lead behavioural and transformational change, understanding the factors that drive a positive employee experience.
- Demonstrable experience and evidence of delivery in HR professional area of expertise.
- Ability to influence a wide network of stakeholders with experience of influencing senior stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience of engaging successfully with a variety of professional teams, including Digital, HR, Operational Delivery as well as external partners.
- Strong inspirational and inclusive leadership skills and the ability to role model positive behaviours working collaboratively across organisational boundaries and in multi‐disciplinary teams.
