We are looking for a Digital Engagement Manager to join the Digital & Transformation Group and be part of a team dedicated to transforming services that millions of people rely on every day. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how we communicate our vision and progress. You will bring together vital service lines across DWP, helping us tell stories that matter and connect with audiences inside and outside the organisation.

- Build strong partnerships across and beyond the organisation by working with DWP Digital teams, Internal Communications, Press Office, HR, other government departments and external organisations to deliver impactful campaigns and messaging.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear, relevant and engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Manage key communication platforms such as SharePoint and Teams and lead on colleague calls, leadership events and external awards opportunities.
- Champion the people agenda by collaborating with equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) working groups, wellbeing leads and people networks acting as an advocate for inclusion and engagement.
- Apply robust campaign management principles using structured planning models to ensure communications are creative, insight-driven and effectively evaluated.
- Deliver multiple projects on time while developing your own capability to thrive in an innovative multi-skills function.
- Play an active role in the wider engagement community supporting cross-team delivery, sharing professional expertise and helping build capability across the organisation.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Lead Criterion - Experience of working within a specialist area or in a broad communication and engagement role, with the ability to plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns and tailor messaging to the needs of different audiences.
- Experience of managing a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, across multiple disciplines.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and MS Teams to deliver multi-channel communications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to apply clear standards of quality and use analytic tools to measure effectiveness.
- Experience of organising virtual and face-to-face events, from planning to executing, leading working groups and producing outcomes.
You will join us in a brilliant DWP Digital hub in your choice of Blackpool, Leeds or Manchester. We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We work a hybrid model with a mix of home working and some time in the office.
In return for your skills, we offer a competitive salary of up to £46,547. You will be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.9%. You will get a generous leave package starting at 25 days, plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.
