The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You'll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. Your role is to gather information and produce the report. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people focused organisation. Responsibilities

  • Carry out 5 client assessments per day via telephone, video or face-to-face.
  • Gather information and produce a factual report to support DWP decisions.

Qualifications

  • An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year's or more broad post-registration experience.
  • Someone who's proactive and keen to learn.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Competent IT and computer skills.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

Benefits & Working Arrangements

  • Excellent starting salary at £39,500pa.
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours.
  • Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week).
  • Boston based when working on-site.
  • 25 days annual leave + 8.
