The Finance and Assurance Services (FAS) Directorate is at the heart of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency's (DVLA) decision-making, providing expert financial insight and assurance to support strategic goals and deliver value for money.
We are looking for a senior finance manager to join our Business Finance Support Team in the FAS Directorate. Our team has a wide remit, and we work with a vast range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellence in finance business partnering.
Of the functional accountabilities set out in the role profile attached, this role relates primarily to providing a comprehensive support and advice service to business areas, customers and stakeholders and collate, monitor and interpret data, providing reports where necessary.
Top Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Reporting: preparing financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to provide clear insights into business performance for each of the directorates.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: assisting with the development, and providing assurance over, current and future year budgets and forecasts, helping to ensure that the Directorate and Agency financial goals are met.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: acting as a trusted advisor to non-financial managers, helping them understand financial information and how it impacts on their directorate and the Agency as a whole.
- Strategic Planning: contributing to the Agency's strategic planning process by contributing to Spending Reviews, Business Cases and reporting on Risks, Pressures and Opportunities for the Support Functions.
