We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for delivering a quality service, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. The roles sit within the operations team, and the successful applicants will work across the current and future grants scheme processed by the department but currently consists of BSOG, BRG and legacy matters of CBSSG (Covid-19 Bus Service Support Grant).

Top Responsibilities

  • Checking the accuracy and validity of claims.
  • Determining how much is to be paid and liaise with operators on the details of the claim.
  • Dealing with general enquiries received in the dedicated email account.
  • Contribute to improving our ways of working as a Support to the Bus Grants Management Digital System, including assisting digital support for the claims process.
  • Issue correspondence to recipients of the grant.
  • Support line manager and team lead on more complex queries and solutions.
  • Support wider team’s approach to fraud and error prevention.
  • Support accurate record keeping and audit trails for the grant including checks conducted and payments made.
  • Support to the Bus Grants Management Digital System, including to assisted digital support for the claims process.
