This policy area has strong interest from across Government as well as external stakeholders. There are also operational aspects to the role, working with the grants team in DVLA to run the applications process smoothly and supporting the management of the Plug in Vehicle and Electric Car Grants.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead policy for the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Grant, ensuring environmental alignment, value for money, and budget affordability.
- Support operations for wider OZEV grants, including applicant engagement, delivery partners, and payment processes.
- Contribute to OZEV’s accessibility work, collaborating with industry and government to ensure an inclusive transition to zero‑emission vehicles.
