The Electrical Switchgear Academy with Vertiv provides industry-leading training and will prepare you for a role in the Electrical Installation sector through the Assured Skills programme. This Academy will be delivered in partnership with North West Regional College (NWRC). Training The Electrical Switchgear Academy with Vertiv is a seven-week training course providing practical knowledge and real-world experience required to work in the sector. Training will include five weeks intensive training at NWRC and two weeks work-based training at the Vertiv site in Derry-Londonderry. Participants will receive a weekly training allowance of £175 for the duration of the Academy, as well as help with travelling and childcare expenses where people qualify. Successful applicants to the Switchgear Academy will work towards a Level 2 entry level qualification in Electrical Installation (EAL) for work in the electrical switchgear sector. Those who successfully finish the course are guaranteed an interview with Vertiv for a permanent role as a Junior Panel Wirer with Vertiv. An interview is not a guarantee of a job.
