Teacher of Design and Technology at South Bromsgrove High
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher of Design & Technology. The successful candidate would be joining the department from January 2026. The post is full-time and permanent.
The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring staff and students, and committed to driving excellence across academic and vocational pathways. As part of our strategic curriculum review, we are currently assessing the potential for qualifications such as GCSE and A Level Design & Technology (Product Design), along with the Level 2 Cambridge National in Engineering Manufacture.
MAIN DUTIES OF POST
The successful candidate will teach one or more of the following:
- AQA GCSE Art and Design (Three-dimensional design)
- AQA A Level Art and Design (Three-dimensional design)
- AQA GCSE Engineering
- OCR A Level Design & Technology (Design Engineering)
- KS3 Design and Technology (year 9)
Previous experience of teaching Engineering and/or Three-dimensional design is desirable but not essential. However, it is expected that the successful candidate will be confident in teaching students to work with one or more of the following: wood; metal; polymers; electronics; mechanisms.
