We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Inclusion Room Behaviour Lead to manage our Inclusion Room (Compass Room). This is a key role supporting our commitment to inclusive, restorative behaviour practice and positive outcomes for students. The Inclusion Room provides a structured environment, helping students regulate, reflect, complete curriculum‑aligned work, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream classrooms. This role requires a full‑time, permanent staff member due to the importance of consistency and relationship‑building.

Key Priorities

  • Reducing internal truancy through supervised, structured provision
  • Reducing fixed‑term suspensions
  • Strengthening whole‑school behaviour culture through consistent, non‑punitive intervention

The successful candidate will be an experienced HLTA with strong behaviour management skills, a calm and consistent approach, and a commitment to supporting students with SEMH needs. South Bromsgrove High is an over‑subscribed, high performing 13‑18 school. In our last Ofsted Inspection in 2023, we were judged to be 'Good' for Overall Effectiveness, with Leadership & Management, the Sixth Form and Personal Development all deemed to be 'Outstanding'.
