Via Wings is a very busy charity organisation based in the centre of Dromore. They help to tackle many issues relating to poverty, cost of living, social isolation, mental health, crisis and emergency situations. They also run a pre-loved clothing shop called Wings’n’Things. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience within a retail environment.
You will gain many skills during this 8 week opportunity including:
- Customer service and communication skills
- Cash handling
- Team working
- Time management
- Organisational skills
Responsibilities:
- Sorting and pricing clothing
- Helping with receiving and managing donations
- Participate in shop meetings, providing ideas for improvement
Further Information:
This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25-30 hours per week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10 per day/max £50/week.
