At Habitat ReStore, individuals will gain work experience within a retail environment. Individuals will gain experience in various retail operations. Tasks include customer service, operating the till, pricing and bar-coding incoming items, sorting and displaying of donations. There is a role for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Support the Donations Collection Team with the collection of donations in the Habitat van
- Sort donated goods, this could include the pricing and barcoding of stock
- Ensure a high standard of presentation, display and merchandising of stock on the shop floor
- Provide excellent customer service, handling customer queries in person and on the phone
- Operating the electronic Till system, including the booking of donation collections and processing payments
- Assist with keeping the store clean and tidy and that health & safety regulations are adhered to
- Attend appropriate training as required

Further Information
This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 8 weeks and will require attendance of 25-30 hours per week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to Β£10/day to a maximum of Β£50/week.
