The Global Commerce Lead is responsible for defining, accelerating and operationalising dentsu's global commerce vision across all iProspect markets and regions, with a focus on delivering integrated, end-to-end commerce solutions that differentiate iProspect in the market. This role acts as the enterprise owner of commerce strategy, partnering closely with leaders across dentsu Creative, dentsu Media, Merkle, CXM and Integrated Solutions to unify capabilities, build new offerings and drive transformative growth for clients. The Global Commerce Lead develops scalable global frameworks, strengthens dentsu's commerce product ecosystem and ensures excellence across retail media, eCommerce, omnichannel commerce, digital shelves and emerging AI-driven commerce solutions. The role serves as a senior advisor to global clients, regional executives and market leaders, guiding commerce transformation, shaping commercial models and driving multi-market growth for iProspect and its clients.
Global Commerce Strategy & Vision
- Define and own iProspect's end-to-end global commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with dentsu priorities, growth targets and One dentsu operating principles.
- Create a unified global commerce framework that integrates Media, CXM, Creative, Data and Tech into a single client-facing offering.
- Build a long-term roadmap for commerce capability development across markets, including global standards, certifications and IP.
Global Client Growth & Enterprise Business Development
- Partner with Global Client Presidents, Regional CEOs and Solutions teams to drive commerce led growth for top global accounts.
- Lead senior-level strategy for major pitches involving retail media, commerce strategy and omnichannel transformation.
- Develop scalable commerce programs for global and multi-market engagements across automotive, CPG, retail, technology, finance and luxury categories.
Capability Building Across dentsu Creative, Media & Merkle
- Establish global practice standards, training and enablement programs for iProspect markets.
- Partner with Merkle to integrate commerce data, identity, experience management and customer journey intelligence into dentsu's commerce offerings.
- Ensure commerce excellence across creative content, media planning/buying retail media networks, marketplaces and customer experience.
Innovation, Productisation & AI
- Develop new commerce products, methodologies, and differentiators that scale across dentsu's network.
- Partner with the Data and Technology to evaluate and implement AI-driven commerce tools, automation models and retail media optimisation solutions.
- Accelerate the convergence of Media + CXM + Creative through commerce led transformation and integrated experience design.
Dentsu Enterprise Enablement & Global Collaboration
- Build a strong global commerce community across NA, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, including operating cadences, learning programs and shared forums.
- Develop cross-market playbooks, toolkits, case studies and templates to ensure consistent deployment.
- Partner with Regional and Market Commerce Leads to identify capability gaps, prioritise investment, and enable scalable growth.
Thought Leadership & External Visibility
- Represent iProspect as a global authority on commerce strategy, omnichannel transformation, retail media and future-of-commerce trends.
- Publish thought leadership, lead global webinars and represent iProspect at major industry events (e.g., Cannes Lions, Shoptalk, Advertising Week, CES).
- Build deep partnerships with platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, Google, Meta and major retail media networks.
Extensive experience in commerce strategy, retail media, eCommerce operations, consulting or performance-driven digital marketing. Experience leading global commerce transformation across multiple regions (NA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM). Proven success building and scaling commerce capabilities inside a global network, digital agency, consulting firm or large platform. Deep experience with Amazon, Walmart Connect, Alibaba, Mercado Libre, Instacart and global retail media networks. Strong background in AI-driven commerce, product content, digital shelf analytics, performance media and customer experience. Proven ability to transform complex commerce ecosystems into scalable global strategies. Recognised authority across retail media, marketplaces, AI-enabled commerce and omnichannel innovation. Mastery of retail media, product content, marketplaces, digital shelf management, DTC, and commerce analytics.
