The purpose of this role is to implement and execute SEO initiatives, in line with the agreed strategy, to maintain, develop and exceed client performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Researching, analysing and drawing conclusions on what type of queries we should target and what content is required to rank at each point of the customer journey.
- Producing editorial plans, content audits and regular content recommendations which aid our organic performance and growth.
- Understanding the ever‑changing Google search results page and having a thorough understanding of the SERP features to own as well as the connection between onsite content and LLMs.
- Leading 1-2 smaller accounts on your own without a Content Manager.
- Being self‑sufficient and managing your own workload.
- Taking an active interest in innovation and industry updates, proactively making suggestions around how we can apply these.
- Proactively seeking integration opportunities with other channels such as Digital PR, Social, PPC.
- Delivering training sessions and knowledge shares with the junior members of the team.
- Leveraging tools and data to make informed decisions over topics and themes to own for your clients – knowledge of tools such as SEMRush and Google Analytics.
- Experienced user of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Taking an active interest in the wider SEO and content industry.
Qualifications & Experience
- Curious, Creative, Self‑Motivated, Organised and Passionate.
- 2+ years' experience in SEO/Content, either in-house or within an agency.
- Experience working with large retail brands delivering strategies.
- Analytical and data‑driven, with data extraction skills desirable.
- The ability to work closely with various teams, contributing on a regular basis.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to continuously improve.
- Exceptional client‑facing ability and a strong communicator.
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages a bonus.
