As an Affiliate Director, your role will be focused on the strategical planning of both the Affiliate and Lead Generation client accounts to grow revenue, and improving the capabilities and efficiencies of the team through the implementation of.

Success will be measured through improving account performance, growth in investment in Affiliates, internal audit scores, client growth and client retention.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Act as strategic lead across client portfolio, ensuring best-in-class affiliate and lead generation practices are consistently delivered, client KPIs are achieved, and innovative, performance-driving solutions are implemented.
  • Stay at the forefront of affiliate marketing trends, proactively sharing insights with internal teams and embedding best practice across all accounts.
  • Develop and produce thought-leadership content for industry publications to showcase dentsu’s affiliate expertise and challenge industry norms to advance channel innovation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Senior Managers and Managers, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, strong performance delivery, and continuous professional growth.
  • Drive client revenue growth by identifying and executing new initiatives, and leveraging upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the wider dentsu network.
  • Collaborate with internal Excellence teams to ensure processes, outputs, and ways of working meet industry-leading standards.
  • Ensure adherence to client Statements of Work (SOWs), with effective resource management to align team effort with contractual commitments.
  • Partner with Affiliate leadership to develop and commercialise new Affiliate and Lead Generation products for existing agency clients.
  • Define and lead client strategy, ensuring alignment across all Senior Managers and Managers on approach, execution, and delivery frameworks.
  • Own team development initiatives, building capability through structured training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Support Affiliate Partner and Managing Partner on HR matters, contributing to team wellbeing, performance, and organisational effectiveness.

  • Strong grounding in wider digital media, with advanced understanding of how each channel impacts one another.
  • In depth knowledge of Affiliates, keeping up to date with the latest trends, updates and techniques.
  • Strong commercial understanding.

  • Support the Affiliate Partner in driving channel growth and product innovation.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of revenue across all clients within the Affiliate and Lead Generation team.
  • Point of escalation for all clients.
  • Qualify all potential cross sell and/or up-sell opportunities.
  • Support the Affiliate Partner and Managing Partner on new business pitches.
  • Expert in creating and managing processes, with a particular focus on efficiencies and time saving initiatives for full team benefits.
  • Adaptable beyond the core aspect of the role.
  • Role modelling our values and behaviours at all times.
  • Training of other members in the affiliate community.
  • Management of Senior Managers/Managers within the team.
Key Experiences
  • Experience owning the strategy on large affiliate programmes.
  • 6+ years’ experience in Affiliate channel either client-side, at a network, at an agency or publisher-side.
  • 3+ years’ experience in team management and/or mentoring and coaching others.
  • Passionate about the affiliate channel, with a keen interest in the development of affiliate technology as a channel, keeping track of new developments within the industry.
