The purpose of this role is to drive and oversee the delivery of the assigned projects to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sustainability Manager to support the delivery of our sustainability strategy by coordinating key initiatives, including managing our volunteering activities and overseeing the relationship with our external service provider. The role is ideal for someone with exceptional project and stakeholder management skills who is passionate about making a positive social and environmental impact. While you don't need formal training or prior experience in sustainability, a strong interest in the field and a desire to drive meaningful change are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteering Project & Campaign Management
    • Lead the end-to-end project management of our annual volunteering campaign.
    • Coordinate timelines, resources, provider and internal communications, and reporting to ensure smooth delivery.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to promote participation and maximise engagement.
    • Monitor campaign performance and implement improvements year‐on‐year.
  • Provider & Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for our volunteering service provider.
    • Manage the day‐to‐day relationship, service levels and issue resolution.
    • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across departments and seniority levels.
    • Ensure clear, consistent communication and alignment between all parties.
    • Manage internal comms related to Sustainability, partnering with the Comms team and ERGs (employee resource groups) to promote Sustainability activities across the business.
  • Environmental Reporting Support
    • Assist with gathering and organising environmental data for internal and external reporting.
    • Support compliance with relevant sustainability frameworks and organisational requirements such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement in data quality, reporting processes, and transparency.

  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including coordinating multiple teams.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • A passion for creating positive social and environmental impact.
  • A collaborative, solution‐focused mindset and a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Working within community initiatives/sustainability programmes is advantageous but not required.
