Purpose of the Role
The Commercial Development Manager plays a key role in supporting the growth and delivery of commercial initiatives across the business, working closely with media, client, finance, legal and trading teams. This position focuses on coordinating projects, identifying and tracking opportunities, and turning commercial ideas into practical, revenue-generating solutions. It is ideally suited to a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and can balance attention to detail with driving results.
As part of the Commercial Development Team, you will help manage and grow two key commercial models. Working across all media channels and agency brands, you will partner with clients, media owners and internal teams to maximise commercial performance, support client portfolio growth, and contribute to the development of new commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of commercial development programmes and strategic initiatives, ensuring projects are executed effectively and on time.
- Manage day-to-day coordination across media, trading, finance, legal and client teams to drive progress against agreed objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, helping align priorities and facilitate collaboration across the business.
- Own the tracking, analysis and reporting of commercial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for optimisation.
- Prepare business cases, presentations, commercial analysis and supporting documentation to inform decision-making and stakeholder discussions.
- Support the implementation of new client participation initiatives and commercial programmes, working closely with client leads and operational teams.
Qualifications + Skills
- Experience in a media, commercial, trading, investment, operations or similar environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of media buying, trading and activation channels.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across multiple teams and seniority levels.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with data, budgets and finance stakeholders.
- Useful to have an understanding of contractual, compliance and governance requirements within a commercial environment.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate complexity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially curious, proactive and entrepreneurial, with a passion for identifying and developing new business opportunities.
