Dentsu is an integrated growth and transformation partner to the world's leading organizations. We are expanding our legal team and are looking for a lawyer with deep expertise in technology matters to join us as we continue to provide practical and focused legal advice supporting dentsu as it drives sustainable business growth for its clients. The role sits within the Global Technology, IP and Privacy Legal team located in London.

The role is broad and involves a range of technology, data, privacy, product and intellectual property matters across multiple regions. You will partner with your stakeholders to help dentsu achieve its strategic objectives. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking for more autonomy and responsibility, working alongside a team of exceptional lawyers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology, Outsourcing and Partnerships: Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on complex technology and outsourcing contracts, including cross-regional arrangements and global framework agreements.
  • AI, Product Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Acting as a key legal advisor on dentsu's AI strategy, including governance, deployment, procurement and use of Generative AI tools across the business.
  • Business Transformation: Supporting major business transformation programmes, including technology-enabled change initiatives and digital transformation projects.
  • Cyber Security: Advising on cyber security incidents, data breaches and incident response.
  • Regulatory: Monitoring and advising on regulatory developments affecting the advertising and marketing technology industry.
  • Legal Team Innovation: Contributing to the innovation agenda within the Legal & Compliance function.

Qualifications + Skills:

  • Membership of a law society or accredited bar organisation, with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of advising on technology, emerging technologies, AI, cyber security, and data protection matters.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • A great sense of enthusiasm for emerging technology.
  • Well-developed attention to detail, prioritisation & organisation skills.
