We’re hiring for a Financial Accountant to join our UK Controllership Team in London on a fixed term basis until June 2027.
Purpose of the Role
As Financial Accountant you’ll join our UK Controllership Team who are responsible for the general accounting and reporting compliance of all dentsu UK&I entities. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring monthly, quarterly, and yearly results are consolidated, analysed, and reported to the EMEA and Group finance teams timely and accurately. You’ll have wide exposure to a variety of Finance areas, taking responsibility for a variety of tasks, providing support to the Group Reporting Manager UK&I, UK Financial Controller and all other UK market entities. Providing support with a variety of finance requests from the BU, EMEA and Group as required you’ll also help identify and drive improvements and efficiencies in the finance processes (reporting, forecasting, budgeting, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly reporting including; performing checks on balance sheet submissions of UK entities, preparing monthly UK Group reporting analysis including explanation of key movements and commentary, working with UK Business Units (BU) and reporting to EMEA and the Group to ensure timely delivery with primary focus on Net Working Capital and Balance Sheet.
- Ensure Group policies are applied across the business and assist the Group Reporting Manager in delivery of high‑quality control environment through active enforcement of these policies.
- Ensure statutory compliance by preparing and reviewing dentsu UK Limited as well as some other UK legal entities Statutory Accounts as required.
- Go through external audit for dentsu UK stats and deliver on central areas for interim and year‑end audit.
- Consolidation and ownership of tax submissions as required (corporation tax computation, PSA, Transfer Pricing).
Qualifications + Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum 2 years PQE.
- Technically capable with experience in preparing statutory accounts, including consolidation of entities with exposure across Audit, Networking Capital and Transfer Pricing.
- Proactive, able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple, conflicting deadlines under pressure.
- Experience of using BPC or similar consolidation/reporting tool.
- Process oriented, excellent attention to detail with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.
- Flexible and positive approach to work, a good team player with the ability to contribute and thrive in a global team‑oriented environment.
What we offer
This is a Fixed Term Contract supporting a period of maternity cover until June 2027. The team is based in our London office but operates under flexible working arrangements.
