This role sits within the influencer capability of Dentsu Creative. You will lead the day‑to‑day relationship with your clients, navigating the client and your team throughout the key influencer and creator campaigns. As Account Director, you will also have line‑management responsibilities for Account Executives and Influencer Managers, guiding them in owning client relationships and delivering great work.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the best of the agency’s thinking with our client contacts.
  • Understand and positively promote the agency’s philosophy, work, and integrity internally and externally.
  • Achieve the best for both the agency and the team’s clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by working closely with clients, building a strong and trusted relationship.
  • Be the client’s partner for strategy and creative, challenging their thinking and ambitions to push our work to the next level.
  • Understand the client’s business, marketplace, and key objectives.
  • Ensure client needs are met quickly, efficiently, and completely.
  • Help develop and present proposals to clients.
  • Ensure regular competitor reviews are conducted and presented to clients.
  • Take creative/artwork comments from clients, discuss with creators and internal resources when appropriate.
  • Be aware of all projects the team is managing and act as key point person for escalation.
  • Oversee the work of account executives and/or influencer managers assigned to your accounts, checking for quality, consistency, and proactivity.
  • Manage and develop personnel reviews on a regular basis of your direct reports.
  • Mentor, manage, and nurture any direct reports.
  • Keep the BD / Client Partner up to speed on any key matters relating to team performance.
  • Manage relationships up to BD / Client Partner on key projects and client developments.
  • Set up and attend weekly team update/status meetings.
  • Lead on contract negotiation, liaising with legal & finance teams where needed.
  • Coordinate invoicing and payment process as per contract and terms agreed.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for quality control and the first point of call on day‑to‑day queries and questions and plan progress.

Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in managing influencer and creator marketing campaigns with knowledge of strategy, measurement, and co‑creation.
  • Approx. 5+ years of experience working with a mix of well‑known brands.
  • A proven track record for playing a key vital role in previous client management and development.
  • Commercially focused with an eye for developing new business from existing client relationships.
  • Strategically minded, confident in leading clients through challenging briefs to agree propositions.
  • Tenacious and confident in leading clients.
  • Pro‑active with a strong sense of client intuition.
