We're hiring for an Ethics & Compliance Director to join the Legal & Compliance function in London on a 12 month fixed term basis. As Ethics & Compliance Director you'll be responsible for the operations of the dentsu Group Ethics & Compliance Program in international markets and for supporting the Japan team with platform deployment. You'll provide compliance and strategic advice to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation (including executive level committees) on ethics and compliance matters to ensure compliance with Group policies. This role reports into the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.

This role will focus on managing overall operations of the Ethics & Compliance program and take responsibility for leading delivery of platforms and processes deployed to support that program. Projects include platform development, deployment and operations of dentsu's Speak Up hotline, gifts & hospitality platform, third party due diligence platform, and anti‑fraud platform. This is a 12 month maternity cover role.

  • Support the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer with the strategy and operational priorities of the Global Ethics & Compliance programme
  • Lead the execution and ongoing management of compliance programs and end‑to‑end systems and tools delivery, including an anti‑fraud program deployment using AI systems, working with third‑party professional services and coordinating internal resources
  • Support the Policy Working Group initiatives to coordinate the development of Group Policies with Functional Leaders and business stakeholders, including in Japan
  • Promote compliance initiatives across the business and work with the functions and executive level management to identify, investigate and mitigate compliance issues as appropriate
  • Support a comprehensive training and awareness communication programme related to company policies, procedures and programs
  • Track and promote the success of the Ethics & Compliance program internally using self‑developed and external metrics, surveys, benchmark questionnaires, management feedback and similar initiatives, developing stakeholder dashboards for the Legal & Compliance function and for business leadership
Qualifications
  • A relevant professional membership, with 10+ years post‑qualification experience including experience in compliance
  • Experience in leading delivery of platforms and processes deployed to support Ethics & Compliance programs, including using project management systems
  • A proven track record of deploying and managing compliance programs to closure and reporting in a thorough, timely and efficient manner
  • Experience in reporting management and managing compliance programmes, including drafting of policies and procedures and conducting training
  • A thorough understanding of best practices in policies and procedures with a strong personal reputation for ethical decision‑making and advocacy for compliance
  • Experience in managing anti‑fraud programs would be an advantage
