Role Overview
The Digital Trading Director will support the Head of Digital Trading in delivering dentsu's commercial digital trading strategy and agreements. You will be a well‑rounded digital buying specialist with strong experience across display, social and/or programmatic channels, combining up‑to‑date market knowledge with a commercial mindset to drive value for clients and the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships across digital media partners, supporting negotiations, commercial agreements and ongoing trading commitments.
- Help develop and maintain the preferred supplier list to align partner capabilities with client and business needs.
- Track delivery against spend, income and trading KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities across active agreements.
- Support the setup and governance of forward investment and other compliant commercial models within the digital trading function.
- Partner with internal activation teams to encourage adoption of approved trading partners and provide guidance on partner selection.
- Provide timely reporting, insights and strategic support to shape trading decisions and priorities.
- Contribute to regular meetings, business updates and cross‑functional collaboration with internal teams and media partners.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, including social, display, programmatic and partner‑led media solutions.
- Experience supporting negotiations, managing commercial conversations or working with supplier and platform partners in a media environment.
- Ability to work with performance and commercial data, track commitments and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail when managing trading commitments and partner performance.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and influence partner adoption across internal and external stakeholders.
