As a Global Account Manager at dentsu, you will be part of the Red Star team, our bespoke service model for Heineken, supporting the Global Account Director across Heineken's International Brands portfolio. You will help connect global ambition with clear coordination across clients, markets, agency teams, and partners, ensuring the account runs smoothly and that work is delivered with clarity, consistency, and care. The role supports the Global Account Director in the day‑to‑day leadership and coordination of Heineken's International Brands in Amsterdam.

This is a key operational and client‑facing support position across Heineken's International Brands. Working closely with the Global Account Director and wider Red Star team, the role coordinates activity across strategy, planning, digital, operations, and partner workstreams, while taking practical ownership of project plans, meeting cadences, actions, risks, and cross‑agency follow‑through.

Responsibilities:
  • Take hands‑on responsibility for day‑to‑day workstream management, ensuring actions, timings, deliverables, dependencies, owners, and next steps are clearly tracked and followed through.
  • Help coordinate the deployment of global through‑the‑line planning approaches, toolkits, and frameworks across markets.
  • Prepare, organise, and manage client meetings, including agendas, status updates, contact reports, decision logs, follow‑ups, action tracking, and clear escalation of blockers.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for day‑to‑day client and agency partner queries, escalating risks or decisions to the Global Account Director where needed.
  • Work closely with strategy, planning, digital, data, operations, and market teams to ensure inputs are gathered, shared, and translated into clear next steps.
  • Maintain strong project discipline across multiple brands and workstreams, using clear plans, timelines, owners, risk tracking, and progress updates to help the team deliver to a high standard.
  • Build effective working relationships with peer agencies, production partners, media partners, market teams, and client‑side stakeholders, creating trust through responsiveness, transparency, and reliable delivery.
  • Operate confidently in a Dutch Directness environment, welcoming clear feedback, communicating openly and constructively, and turning direct conversations into practical action.
  • Support knowledge sharing across the network by capturing learnings, best practice, market feedback, and key decisions in a clear and accessible way.

We are looking for an experienced account manager with strong media planning understanding, clear project management capability, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to work across multiple markets, disciplines, agencies, and client stakeholders. This person will be close to the detail, proactive in solving issues before they escape escalation, comfortable owning timelines and follow‑ups, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, direct, and collaborative Dutch client environment.

Qualifications:
  • Solid experience in account management within a media, communications, or integrated agency environment, ideally on international or multi‑market accounts.
  • Good understanding of through‑the‑line media planning, digital channels, campaign development, and how global frameworks are adapted for local market use.
  • Clear project management capability, with the ability to set up and run plans, timelines, workback schedules, action trackers, status meetings, risk logs, and stakeholder follow‑ups across multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear status updates, meeting notes, presentations, and client‑facing materials.
  • Comfort working with data, insights, and performance information to support planning discussions and identify practical recommendations.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, markets, internal teams, peer agencies, and external partners through reliability, clarity, responsiveness, and consistent follow‑through.
  • Resilience, pragmatism, and sound judgement, with the confidence to handle fast‑moving priorities, direct feedback, and Dutch Directness constructively and professionally.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed to support the team, client, and wider partner network.
