We’re hiring a Security Engineer to work on a very flexible hybrid basis from our Manchester or London office.
Role Summary
A successful candidate will join dentsu’s Cyber Security team and will focus on helping secure environments across our global business. In this role, you will be responsible for helping define security measures and maintain security platforms across a variety of enterprise and development environments. You will work closely with security platforms, SOC, security architects and developer teams to integrate security tooling and platforms, ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure. An ideal candidate would have a proven track record in both enterprise security tooling and DevSecOps processes, including multi-cloud security, code & secret scanning, container security etc. This role is suited to someone who would enjoy helping develop new internal capabilities and embrace the challenge of implementing and supporting these in a variety of different environments and technologies across the global business.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain enterprise security platforms, as well as custom environment-specific tooling.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of enterprise browser solutions and enterprise SSO security tooling.
- Drive efficiencies in processes and reporting metrics via automation and integrations.
- Support security controls throughout the CI/CD pipeline, including containerized environment, secret scanning, SCA and automated static and dynamic application security testing (SAST).
- Leverage cloud-native security solutions to support and automate manual security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
- Collaborate with SOC, vulnerability management, security architects and DevOps teams to validate findings, enhance cloud security posture and enforce compliance.
- Document, identify and train teams to ensure seamless handover of operational responsibilities post implementation, whilst providing L2/L3 support across multiple environments/teams when required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of security principles and engineering practices across enterprise, development and cloud environments.
- Hands on experience with enterprise security tools (e.g. Okta, Island Browser, Wiz, Sentinel, Defender, etc.)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their security offerings.
- Experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Familiarity with security tools commonly used in DevSecOps workflows, (e.g. dependabot, detect-secrets, semgrep, trivy, Falco, Nuclei, SonarQube etc.)
- Solid understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security posture management (CSPM).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Terraform etc.) for automating security tasks and building custom security and reporting solutions.
- Must possess excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and bridging personal knowledge gaps.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently, and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good presentation skills both verbal and written on both technical and non-technical information.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), DevSecOps Practitioner, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer etc.)
