We’re hiring for a Copywriter to join the Editorial team in Manchester or London.
Purpose of the Role
As Copywriter you’ll be responsible for conceptualising and realising ideas through comprehensive use of language and the written word. You’ll write and edit copy (short and long form) for key clients, meeting deadlines and maintaining high editorial standards. You’ll think holistically about how ideas come to life through all creative channels of a consumer experience, expressing ideas with clarity: on brand, on message, and targeted to specific audiences. You’ll work on specialist and regulated industries as needed, as part of dentsu\’s compliance and specialist industry team.
Key Responsibilities
- Present ideas to both the wider internal team and, occasionally, externally to clients with structure and confidence
- Understand and maintain brand continuity, guidelines, and positioning across all written communications
- Creatively support the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business problems
- Drive, define and provide feedback on the quality of copywriting briefs from other teams with confidence
- Proactively identify opportunities for creative work and improvements to day-to-day client operations, with guidance from senior leaders
- Contribute to the development of content strategies for clients across various industries, including regulated sectors
Qualifications + Skills
- Some professional writing experience in copywriting, content creation, or related editorial roles with a basic understanding of brand voice and tone development and familiarity with digital content formats and channels.
- Strong writing ability with attention to detail and accuracy with creative thinking skills with ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging copy.
- Interest in working across diverse industries, including compliance-focused sectors and a willingness to learn about regulatory requirements and specialist industry practices.
- Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Adaptability and openness to feedback for continuous improvement and an enthusiasm for developing expertise in specialist writing areas
- Research skills to ensure content accuracy and relevance with a basic understanding of digital marketing principles
