We’re seeking a strategic and highly collaborative individual to work on our Strategic Partner Investment (SPI) program. SPI is dentsu’s global investment and innovation program that accelerates the development of next-generation, partner-powered solutions designed to master the algorithmic era and deliver measurable value for clients, partners, and the network.
The ideal candidate will bring strong product and commercial acumen, cross-functional leadership, media expertise and the ability/gravitas to influence senior stakeholders across regions and business units. This candidate will be responsible for shaping, scaling, and evangelizing SPI as a critical lever for growth across dentsu, our clients, and strategic platform partners.
What you'll do- SPI Program Governance
- Drive global cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across markets and practices media, data, tech, creative and respective partner teams.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, SPI to design and refine SPI programme/product strategies and narratives as it pertains to partner tech, partner investment and its role/positioning within the dentsu global network.
- Evangelize the program as a key solution that will accelerate our Algorithmic Era and NextGen ambitions.
- Embed SPI into global narratives, strategies, and ways of working, refining the programme alongside the evolving industry ecosystem and dentsu strategic priorities.
- Support with new business and client engagements as appropriate.
- Enable teams to navigate internal and external barriers to ensure timely delivery and revenue recognition.
- Partnership and Product Innovation
- Identify opportunities for partner revenue growth through shared priorities and translate that to incubate, scale, and operationalize next-gen solutions.
- Identify high-potential partner products and market innovations; incubate and scale them into dentsu’s global capabilities.
- Drive product selection and funding decisions based on commercial, performance, and strategic fit criteria.
- Operate across the dentsu practices and service lines to connect disparate areas of the business and provide value to all.
- Steer the strategic direction of our global partner product investment and the continued development and refinement of our Next Gen partner toolkit.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Evangelism
- Go-to, stakeholder with gravitas, trusted by key partners to deliver shared goals.
- Maintain regular cadence with key partner and industry stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Work with the GTM and comms team to build education, marketing plans, and enablement materials to raise visibility and drive awareness across the dentsu network of tools, impact, results, and continued influence/value of the programme in its entirety.
- Develop and design initiatives, programmes, and/or incentives, either internally or in collaboration with partners to ensure the success of SPI and its deliverables.
- Drive internal and external marketing and PR initiatives that provide a platform for SPI and dentsu both internally and externally.
- Process Design
- Collaborate with the Senior Director, SPI to build out SPI governance models and ways of working to manage expectations and deliverables across global and regional teams and functions.
- Ensure visibility, tracking, and reporting of SPI initiatives and commercial value.
- Lead the evolution of the SPI process and underpinning strategic approach and narratives.
- 10–12+ years of experience in media, advertising technology, partnerships, product, and/or platform strategy.
- Proven track record of delivering scaled commercial or performance initiatives.
- Experienced product and/or channel team leader, managing high performing teams across multiple geographical locations.
- Experienced client facing operator.
- Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem and major platform business models.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across complex organizational structures.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and operational excellence.
- Exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Mentor and role model, upskilling the business and supporting with the development of the dentsu workforce and its capabilities.
