The Design Director works closely with Creative Directors and Strategy leads to push design boundaries for existing clients and new business opportunities. They are responsible for design ownership, creative strategic development, and overall concept development of the client’s brand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver design excellence within the agency squad, ensuring high-quality, hands‑on execution that is on‑brand, scalable and approval‑ready.
  • Collaborate with the Adobe Studio Associate Creative Director as a close craft partner, aligning on visual standards, design system application, master assets, and maintaining the highest craft bar.
  • Own design leadership and craft excellence across all squad outputs, including application and stewardship of Adobe brand systems, guidelines, and templates.
  • Develop master files and modular design approaches to enable scale and consistency, accessibility, and production readiness across all design deliverables.
  • Account for the quality of design work leaving the squad and actively develop designers within the squad, investing in their growth and progression.
  • Embed AI‑native design practice across the squad, ensuring AI tools are part of everyday workflow and exploring how to push the technology’s capabilities.
  • Work hands‑on with designers to create, refine and elevate design output, translating creative ideas into high‑quality, scalable executions.
  • Lead agency‑side design reviews and drive quality control within the squad, ensuring master assets and templates are fit for multi‑market use.
  • Prepare final design readiness prior to client review and sign‑off, escalating issues where required.

Qualifications

  • Dual design sensibility: precision and restraint for professional communications, vitality for consumer‑facing creative.
  • Strong command of B2B and B2C design contexts, with a keen understanding of how visual language varies across audiences.
  • Meticulous craft standards and the ability to produce professional, credible work for business audiences while delivering vibrant, engaging work for consumer audiences.
  • Art direction capability: defining and maintaining visual tone, image selection, compositional approach, and visual language from concept to execution.
  • AI‑native approach to design: deep integration of AI tools in daily workflow, using them to develop ideas, explore directions, accelerate production, and enhance output quality.
  • International fluency: experience designing for diverse cultures and markets, adapting visual language and messaging beyond a single‑market context.
  • A modular, scalable design approach that maintains quality and coherence across formats, markets, and channels.
