Purpose of the Role
The Investment Director will support the Heads of Investment across DX, B2B, iProspect and Carat, driving commercial performance, partner growth and alternative investment adoption across the agency patch. This role plays a critical part in delivering trading excellence, enhancing partner relationships and embedding a client first mindset to commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting & Revenue Management
- Support monthly forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely input from client leads.
- Monitor product, billing and trading performance across the patch, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Drive improvement in TRR, MORR and trading revenue across relevant business areas.
- Contribute to monthly reporting for senior leadership.
- Client & Agency Engagement
- Act as a senior investment contact for selected growth accounts, supporting QBRs and client-facing investment discussions for mid to long tail accounts.
- Deliver media inspiration sessions across priority channels and partners to drive innovation and incremental revenue opportunities.
- Support onboarding of new business, influencing early-stage spend direction and commercial alignment.
- Represent Amplifi in agency forums, ensuring trading and commercial objectives are clearly communicated and understood.
- Commercial Growth & Product Adoption
- Drive growth of alternative principal and proprietary solutions, with clear quarterly objectives.
- Support opt-in strategies across client portfolios in partnership with Commercial Development.
- Identify incremental revenue opportunities across the trading book and proactively develop growth plans.
- Media Partner & Supply-Side Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media partners across London and the North.
- Identify joint growth initiatives and partnership opportunities aligned to agency priorities.
- Support the delivery of Media Partner Days, including one dedicated B2B partner event annually.
- Champion priority partners within the agency through inspiration sessions and internal engagement.
- New Business & Pitch Support
- Support pitch and renewal processes, working alongside HOIs and client teams.
- Assist in preparing commercial frameworks and FTE requests where required.
- Ensure alternative investment solutions and commercial differentiation are embedded into responses.
- Celebrating Success & Profile Raising
- Surface and promote best-in-class work across priority channels and partnerships.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR to merchandise success stories.
- Support award submissions and ensure high-impact commercial work is recognised internally and externally.
KPIs & Success Measures
- Growth in principal and proprietary product adoption
- Improvement in TRR, MORR and trading revenue (YoY)
- Number of inspiration sessions and QBRs supported/delivered
- Contribution to pitch win rate and renewals
- Forecast accuracy and reporting timeliness

Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive experience within media planning, buying, investment or commercial trading
- Strong understanding of supply-side dynamics and media partner ecosystems
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholders (internal and external)
- Commercially astute with experience delivering revenue targets
- High attention to detail across forecasting, reporting and deal execution
- Strong analytical capability (Excel proficiency required; strong Powerpoint skills)
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience using AI to speed up reporting & information processes
