Dentro are hiring for an Operations Excellence Manager for a scale-up logistics firm based near Heathrow. The role is working across the business to improve the key performance of the business and to conduct in-depth analysis into their operations, making improvements where possible.
The role incorporates operational logistics in a cross-border and air freight environment, compliance, planning and forecasting, so someone with a well-rounded view of cross-border logistics and a desire for improvement is needed. This role is critical to the business's continued growth and reports directly to the MD, but will work across the business with key stakeholders throughout.
The experience required is listed below but alongside this you'll need the right attitude to help grow and scale the business:
- Building and managing operational forecasts, workforce planning, and shift optimisation to balance cost efficiency with operational demand.
- Driving productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and maintenance of SOPs and performance frameworks.
- Overseeing end-to-end operational coordination, identifying bottlenecks, managing risks, and collaborating across departments to maintain service levels and KPIs.
- Planning and conducting internal and external audits, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance across bodies such as HMRC, CAA, Traffic Commissioner, and Trading Standards.
- Managing customs clearance processes (including MOU requirements) and ensuring ongoing aviation security compliance.
- Implementing and monitoring Health & Safety compliance in line with UK legislation.
- Developing and maintaining risk and compliance programmes, including risk registers and supporting frameworks.
