We are engaged by a business that has grown significantly in the last few years and as part of that growth, they are building their Cyber Security team. The role will need someone that doesn’t mind getting stuck into tasks and has an inquisitive mindset to improve the business's security posture.
You’ll need to be a self-starter, someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do, and if you’re ambitious and willing to learn, you will get all of the training and development you need.
From a technical standpoint, you’ll need some, but potentially not all of the following:
- Solid experience in cyber operations, with exposure to incident response, vulnerability management, and security reporting
- Hands-on knowledge of tools such as:
- Microsoft Defender, Azure, Purview
- CrowdStrike
- Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, FortiGate)
- KnowBe4
You’ll be responsible for the triage of SOC alerts and incidents, working with 3rd parties. Managing vulnerabilities and using Defender to do so, you’ll be involved in reports to execs such as phishing reports and running those simulations too. Co-ordinating Pen Tests and running cyber workshops.
It’s a really well-rounded role with a company that genuinely cares and has a purpose.
