Are you someone who knows their way around the data landscape from a technical perspective but can use that data to drive commercial value and lead data-driven decision making? Are you hands-on with SQL, Power BI, maybe Databricks but with an ability to gather requirements from different business units around their data?
We are looking for an individual with a commercial mindset that knows data to join a business that is driving improvements in the way they collate, analyse and report on data. The business has a relatively complex dataset and has typically been good at reporting in certain areas but has not used the data available to lead their decision making, and this role will help drive this forwards.
You will need to work closely with different business units including Finance, Marketing, HR, and Sales, so it is important you have an ability to talk to stakeholders across a business. The technical elements are SQL and Power BI for visualisation, and the business is about to invest in Databricks, so if you understand this, then great, but strong SQL and Power BI skills are a must, as well as proficiency in Excel.
The business looks after people, has a good benefits package, and is part of a much larger group, so you get the small company, make a difference feel with the muscle of a multi-national behind you.
Please only apply if you are within commuting distance to the West Midlands, as there is no relocation compensation available and we need people to be ready to start following any notice periods.
