We're supporting a local (Birmingham) financial services business deliver a digital transformation programme and there is a need for a Senior Project Manager to support this. You will need experience in financial services, ideally banking and you'll understand things like mortgage or savings platforms or similar. There is a core banking upgrade planned as part of the transformation, so if you've worked on or seen an upgrade then great but not necessary. There are also infrastructure projects, the usual regulatory change and some MI work too! It's a genuine upgrade and update of the core business.
You’ll need to understand agile ways of working and be able to support the business embed best practice as they grow and learn. Candidates must have demonstrable experience leading and delivering large-scale, complex projects from inception through to closure, including system migrations from on-premise environments to managed service providers. You will maintain governance frameworks and drive cross-functional collaboration between internal teams and third-parties.
The key part of this role is a solid understanding of the end to end lifecycle of projects from business case to post go live and benefits realisation. You must have delivered projects in this way and be capable of leading on major technology change initiatives.
