Security Operations Engineer - Hybrid Work (3 days onsite) - South Birmingham - Permanent - Cyber Security - MS Ecosystem - £60-70,000
We are searching for a Security Operations Engineer with strong experience in the MS ecosystem including Purview, Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel and Azure (although any AWS/GCP are fine too!).
The business operates in Financial Services and you'll need exposure to the sector or at the very least regulated environments where you've had to deal with regulatory frameworks such as FCA, PRA, GDPR, PCI DSS, SOX.
This role works with a small team in a driven and growing business and reports to senior leadership where you can influence and drive change too.
Alongside Purview etc you will have exposure and experience in driving governance around data, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and be conversant in IAM and Privileged Access Management too.
Solid experience across SIEM/SOAR and advanced threat detection and spanning monitoring, triage, investigation, and incident response and Zero Trust frameworks.
Aside from the technical, you will be a collaborative team player who works effectively across SecOps, data governance, risk, and compliance functions, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
