The Department
Our Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) is a flexible and scalable paralegal team who support all our UK, Ireland and Middle East offices across the full spectrum of legal services. Meeting the ever-increasing demands for disaggregated legal services, the LDC offers an exciting opportunity for development and the chance to undertake chargeable work that is varied, innovative and engaging.
In the LDC we are keen to continuously innovate and you will use legal technology and AI tools to support delivery, improve consistency and reduce manual processes. We are therefore looking for someone curious about new ways of working, comfortable learning new technology, and interested in how AI can be used responsibly to enhance legal service delivery.
This role is well suited to someone looking to build strong legal experience within an innovative delivery environment, working alongside experienced lawyers with structured training and development.

We are presently looking for a bright, enthusiastic and experienced employment paralegal to join our LDC team, with a focus on supporting our firm's alternative legal delivery team, Dentons Helix.
The LDC is a focused resource supporting the Dentons Helix team across all of our UK, Ireland and Middle East offices with the full breadth of their work. From time to time there will be the opportunity to undertake work across the full spectrum of legal service areas. An opportunity to liaise with all business areas, the LDC offers extensive exposure across the firm and to some of the firm's major clients.
Whilst this is a virtual role with no expectation or requirement that you attend any of our office locations other than for business critical or wellbeing needs, for those who would like to experience the office environment and meet our hybrid teams, there is the opportunity to attend our UK offices - London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
You will work as part of a team to deliver a first class service to our clients. The types of claims include unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, and whistleblowing. Through newly established ways of working, including an increased emphasis on technological solutions. Our approach is to create a supportive environment by working collaboratively as part of a team whilst also encouraging team members to operate with a degree of independence.
It is essential that candidates are team players and committed to developing personally and professionally. A determination to deliver high-quality focused services to our clients is essential, as is maintaining and developing client relationships.
The successful candidate will be someone with energy and enthusiasm, working hard to provide the highest levels of service whilst at the same time valuing having fun being part of a supportive and collegiate team.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Minimum 1 year’s employment law experience, preferably within private practice.
- Demonstratable experience supporting Employment Tribunal litigation on the respondent/employer side. Claimant-only experience will not be suitable.
- Practical experience supporting Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to hearing, with a good understanding of employment litigation processes and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of employment claims, including unfair and wrongful dismissal, redundancy, whistleblowing and discrimination.
- Experience supporting key stages of litigation, including Preliminary/Case Management Hearings, disclosure, Judicial Mediation, Final Hearings and Remedy Hearings.
- Strong experience in Employment Tribunal bundle preparation, disclosure and document management.
- Ability to draft, review and amend legal documents, including witness statements, Tribunal submissions, employment contracts and settlement agreements.
- Experience communicating with Employment Tribunals and liaising with Counsel, including obtaining availability and fees, booking Counsel, preparing instructions and coordinating hearing papers.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters, prioritise competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with Fee Earners, Partners, clients, Counsel and Tribunals.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of tasks, use initiative and progress matters independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while managing allocated matters independently.
- Flexible, adaptable and client-focused, with a commitment to providing a responsive, efficient and high-quality service.
- A strong academic record, including a degree or equivalent, is preferred.
