Reporting to an HRBP to support the wider HR Business Partnering team. This role will provide day‑to‑day support to the HR Business Partners. The role-holder will have core task responsibilities and ensure the provision of a professional and high‑quality HR service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line HR advice on policies, procedures and terms & conditions, escalating to HRBP where appropriate (e.g. family leave, flexible working, hybrid/overseas working).
- Manage employee lifecycle casework, including absence (short‑and long‑term), disciplinary, grievance and performance matters, in partnership with HRBP and ER Manager.
- Oversee long‑term sickness cases, including PHI applications, sick pay administration, occupational health coordination and phased returns.
- Advise and support managers on absence management processes and related meetings.
- Manage flexible working and parental leave requests, with HRBP support.
- Support employee wellbeing, including mental health and reasonable adjustments, signposting to appropriate resources.
- Conduct employee check‑ins (e.g. probation, secondment) and exit interviews; support associated outcomes (e.g. extensions, terminations).
- Maintain accurate HR records and oversee employee documentation, including ad‑hoc paperwork in collaboration with HR Services.
- Support compliance with regulatory and internal requirements (e.g. SRA, LSOS).
- Contribute to and support delivery of cyclical HR processes (e.g. talent mapping, career conversations, engagement surveys, salary review).
- Attend stakeholder meetings and provide relevant HR updates.
- Support organisational change activity (e.g. restructures, TUPE, redundancy programmes).
- Manage HR administration relating to visas/IR35, liaising with external providers as required.
- Deliver HR‑related training and induction sessions.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement of HR processes and documentation.
- Use HR data and metrics to inform insights and support decision‑making.
- Collaborate effectively across the HR team and wider business.
Capability, Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR administrative or advisory role.
- Graduate level or equivalent; further HR qualifications are desirable.
- Experience working in a professional services or corporate environment.
