The Role

Acting for lenders and borrowers on a variety of corporate lending transactions, including large investment grade loans provided by international bank syndicates, secured domestic and cross-border term and revolving facilities, acquisition financings (including public to privates), and other cashflow-based loans. We act for a wide range of lenders and borrowers in this space. Our lender clients include UK and international banks, private debt funds and insurers. Our real estate finance and fund finance practices sit within the same practice group. As such, a familiarity with these product areas is useful, though not essential.

A good understanding of LMA-style documentation, including facility agreements and intercreditor agreements. A good understanding of cashflow-based financial covenants. Advanced core technical legal skills relevant to transactional banking work, including UK company law, and English contract, insolvency and security law.
  • General: Committed to keeping up with the latest trends in the areas we cover, including the evolving role of AI and legal technology in delivering client value. Skilled in communicating effectively at all levels, including when explaining or adopting new technology solutions. The ability to organise and prioritise effectively, using digital tools and AI-driven systems to enhance efficiency. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
