The London Real Estate team is looking for an Associate with experience in general commercial real estate transactional work. The team works on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic UK transactions and supporting activities of the firm’s global clients. We deliver a client-focused responsive service for blue chip clients who expect the highest quality, great value and the delivery of excellent work. They, and we, expect our lawyers to be specialists in their sectors, and to be motivated and commercially minded.
Required experience, skills, and attributes:
- Transactional proficiency, particularly with exposure to asset management;
- Investment based disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions);
- Working with a project team including construction, tax, finance, corporate and planning colleagues both within the UK and internationally;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, transfers, easements, licences and agreements for lease and leases;
- Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on title;
- Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice;
- A general understanding of development transactions would be useful, but not essential.
