The Role
This role is in the Key Client Revenue team within finance and provides support to Fee earners and Clients in the UKIME region of the firm. The primary focus is the working capital management for specific key clients across the business.
This includes the review of client account funds, regular face to face meetings with Fee Earners to discuss unbilled WIP (Work in Progress) and raising high volume invoices.
Responsibilities
- Looking after and reviewing the working capital and client funds for specific key clients.
- Regular contact with Fee earners and Clients ensuring all relevant information is in place so the monthly invoicing process can run smoothly. (e.g. making sure correct Purchase Orde No\’s/ references are in place so payment can be made promptly).
- Conduct regular meetings with Fee earners to review their Client matters and ensure all matters are billed on time and in line with client requirements.
- Liaise closely with the team ensuring that all invoices are issued accurately and within set deadlines, assisting in the raising of invoices, applying appropriate purchase order numbers / relevant references once approvals are received from Clients / Fee Earners.
- Assisting the team\’s Credit Controller to ensure invoices are paid within payment terms.
- Establish effective working relationships with Fee Earners and practice support executives.
- Action requests and resolve queries from Fee Earners and Clients for financial information using existing reports and systems.
- Continually review procedures and processes with the view to making improvements.
- Provide general assistance to the Key Client Revenue Manager with ad hoc project work, as and when required.
- Comply with the firm\’s policies and any other legal obligations, and effectively manage risks to the firm where those risks relate to this role.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel).
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage several tasks at once.
- Positive, engaged team player and motivated.
- Desire to provide a high quality customer service to internal and external clients.
- (Flexibility at times of high Client demand).
- Knowledge of the Elite or 3E accounts system would be an advantage.
