Our award‑winning Projects team has a long heritage of advising private‑sector clients and government across a full spectrum of sectors covering energy, transport and infrastructure. The practice is recognised in the upper tiers of the Legal 500 and Chambers for electricity (including renewables), oil & gas and rail. It also has a strong reputation for water and PFI/PPP expertise. The team operates across Scotland, England, Ireland and the Middle East, giving members access to high‑profile transactions and regulatory work worldwide.
Role Overview
This is a role for lawyers with an inquisitive mind who want to be challenged intellectually and make a difference. The Projects they work on can make headlines, contribute to the fight against climate change and stimulate UK infrastructure growth. You will handle a range of transactions across the market, primarily in the UK and Ireland, with some opportunities on international projects. The role requires a good understanding of both legal and commercial risk and solid contractual skills. You will be at the centre of client relationships, with ample opportunity for business development and a clear progression path to Senior Associate, Counsel or Partner.

- Ability to absorb complex information and draft detailed contractual documentation
- Projects experience across infrastructure/transport sector and/or energy (project finance, PPP – experience welcome)
- Excellent project management skills
- Capable of working effectively within a large team; rail experience is a plus
