b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the discovery and delivery of AI-enabled solutions at the intersection of legal practice and business needs. You work within the Helix team to turn workflows into secure, usable AI products and prototypes, collaborating with lawyers, clients, and tech peers. You’ll balance hands-on engineering with consulting-like stakeholder engagement, deciding what to productise or retire. You help scale practical AI and feed lessons back into the innovation roadmap. This role offers impact across governance, security, and the firm’s AI capabilities. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li flexible working arrangements /li li inclusion and diversity culture /li li equal opportunities for all /li li disability confident employer /li li adjustments available during application process /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead discovery and solution design, translating legal/operational problems into deliverable plans /li li Develop reliable agentic AI workflows with guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and observability /li li Build production-minded back-end services, APIs, data flows, and cloud deployments /li li Collaborate with Helix, front-end, platform, data governance, and security teams to move validated work into supported services /li li Provide technical leadership, communicate decisions, mentor colleagues, and build reusable patterns /li li Provide training and guidance to raise AI fluency across the function and stay current with legal AI trends /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Substantial, demonstrable experience delivering AI/software/data products in complex, client-facing or regulated environments /li li Strong practical experience with modern LLM application development and agentic systems /li li Proficient Python engineering with API development, integration patterns, testing and maintainable code /li li Experience with SQL, Docker, cloud services and CI/CD /li li Experience deploying on a cloud platform (ideally Microsoft Azure) with focus on identity, security, data protection and reliability /li li Experience with RAG, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, prompt/version management, model safety controls and observability /li li Familiarity with OpenAI APIs and enterprise AI platforms is desirable /li li Excellent consulting, communication and facilitation skills /li li A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/engineering/math/data science or related field /li /ul ul li consulting mindset /li li clear communication /li li ability to frame problems and work through ambiguity /li li Python API development /li li LLM application development and agentic systems /li li API design and integration /li /ul
