The Team
Our Corporate team manage a range of high-quality transactional mandates including deals in public and private M&A, private equity, venture capital, equity capital markets and corporate recovery. Our advisory mandates include restructurings, joint ventures and strategic projects. Our lawyers work on the full spectrum of corporate transactions, from strategic planning through due diligence to post-closing integration. With Dentons' unparalleled international reach, our work involves cross-border aspects and our Corporate team has worked with colleagues in over 80 offices around the world. We are recognised as leaders in sectors such as Real Estate, Energy, Financial Services and Infrastructure.
We have a great opportunity for an Associate to join the London Corporate transactional team. The successful candidate will develop their expertise in a team that has deep sector knowledge and far-reaching experience in advising global, national and emerging companies. You will maintain client relationships, contribute to business development and thought leadership, raising your own profile and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- You will take a prominent role on a wide range of corporate transactional and advisory mandates, working with colleagues within Corporate and elsewhere to deliver a first-class client service.
- Building and maintaining client relationships.
- Contributing to business development.
- Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team.
- Contributing to thought leadership and raising the profile of the firm externally.
The role will be particularly attractive to applicants who wish to increase their exposure to and direct experience of more significant corporate transactions and cross-border work for blue chip clients.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of corporate transactional work.
- 2 to 4 PQE.
- Ability to work with a degree of independence where appropriate.
- Project management and team working.
- Strong drafting skills and legal research ability.
- Strong academic record, including a degree or equivalent.
- Financial, commercial and business awareness.
- Ability to contribute to and participate in client pitches.
