THIS JOB IS FOR 2-3 DAYS PER WEEK. SOMETIMES IT WILL BE FULL WEEKS FOR HOLIDAY COVER.
We are seeking a qualified glazier/window repairs operative to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of windows & doors in various residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building structures and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools.
Responsibilities
- Repair windows and doors in accordance with specifications.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit. THIS INCLUDES CUTTING GLASS ON SITE.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform necessary adjustments to ensure windows and doors operate smoothly.
- Conduct inspections of existing windows to identify issues such as broken hinges/mechanisms or failed units.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on every job.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while on site.
Qualifications
- Proven qualifications & experienced Glazier/window and door repairs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to glazing and repairs.
- Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards related to window and door repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness as the role may involve lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE ESSENTIAL.
