Denton Community Academy is seeking a proactive, compassionate, and highly organised Inclusion Support Officer to lead our Tier 1 provision within the school’s Inclusion Centre. This one-day intervention programme provides restorative support for students referred for breaches of the school’s behaviour policy.
About the Role
The Tier 1 provision is a key part of our inclusive approach offering students the opportunity to reflect on their choices, repair relationships, and reintegrate successfully into mainstream learning. The Inclusion Support Officer will manage the daily operation of this provision, delivering structured sessions and supporting students to make positive behavioural and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Tier 1 provision for students referred by the Principal.
- Deliver restorative and reflective sessions that promote positive behaviour and accountability.
- Support students with their classwork during their placement, maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
- Record, monitor, and report on student progress and behaviour data.
- Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support reintegration and prevent repeat referrals.
- Contribute to whole-school behaviour and inclusion strategies in collaboration with the Inclusion Centre team.
