Dentafly is a growing private dental organisation focused on delivering a calm, professional and patient-centred experience. Our Chiswick clinic operates to high standards of care, organisation and communication. We are now looking for a Front of House / Dental Receptionist to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a warm, professional and well-organised front-of-house experience. You will work closely with clinicians and management to ensure excellent patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients in person, by phone and via email in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing appointment bookings, confirmations and cancellations
- Handling inbound and outbound calls with excellent customer service
- Managing patient records and correspondence using internal software systems
- Processing payments, deposits, invoices and refunds
- Supporting referrals, enquiries and follow-ups
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Ensuring the reception and waiting areas are organised and presentable
- Liaising with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Supporting basic CQC, health & safety and clinic compliance tasks
- Opening and closing duties as required
Working Hours
Full-time: Approximately 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (rota-based), including: Friday: earlier finish (e.g. 16:30). Part-time: Flexible options available, typically 16–24 hours per week, to be agreed.
About You
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental or medical clinic
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – additional languages are a plus
- Confident, professional and well-presented
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable using computer systems and internal booking software
- Calm and patient-focused in a busy clinic environment
- Experience in private dentistry or medical/aesthetic clinics
- Basic financial administration experience (payments, invoicing)
- Experience with dental software (e.g. Exact, SOE, Carestream, Cliniko)
- Knowledge of private dental treatments and fee structures
- Previous experience in customer service / sales environment (upselling treatments, packages)
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year (full-time, based on experience). Part-time roles available with salary calculated pro-rata, based on hours worked.
