The Role

  • Position: Head Dental Nurse
  • Employment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent
  • Location: Watford
  • Start Date: Immediate Start Available
  • Working Hours: 08:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the Dental Nursing team
  • Coordinate audits and assist with CQC compliance requirements
  • Manage stock control and maintain clinical supplies
  • Ensure treatment rooms and clinical areas remain organised, compliant, and fully equipped
  • Provide chairside support two days per week, alongside holiday and sickness cover
  • Support the smooth and efficient day‑to‑day running of the practice
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient care

  • Approximately 30% NHS and 70% Private
  • Fully digital practice using Dentally software
  • Treatments include Dental Implants, Invisalign, and Teeth Whitening

Essential Requirements

  • GDC Registered Dental Nurse
  • Previous experience working as a Head Dental Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years' Dental Nursing experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience supporting CQC compliance, audits, and practice operations
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Confident, proactive, and professional approach
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high clinical standards

Desirable Experience

  • Implant Nursing experience
  • Experience with Dentally software
  • Confidence in training, mentoring, and developing nursing teams
