Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice dental nurse to join our friendly dental practice. The successful candidate will assist other dental health professionals, provide chairside support and deliver a high level of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with chairside support during treatments.
- Prepare, mix, and handle dental materials and equipment.
- Maintain the clinical environment and keep accurate patient records.
- Assess patient anxiety and provide effective communication and behavioural techniques.
- Identify and manage medical emergencies and infection control procedures.
- Support patients with acute oral conditions and provide preventive advice.
- Implement an evidence‑based approach to clinical practice.
- Communicate sensitively with patients, carers, and colleagues in both written and oral form.

What You’ll Do at Work

- Live the Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship program, gaining practical experience and skills development.
- Develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to operate competently in all clinical responsibilities.
- Work towards gaining a qualification that enables application for professional registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
