We are currently looking for a hardworking Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering family.

  • What You Will Be Doing

In this varied and active role, you will help us provide a high standard of culinary produce in a healthy, hygienic environment. Your key duties will include:

  • Assisting in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the Catering Department and Dining Hall.
  • Washing, cleaning, and drying equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
  • Assisting with the preparation, transportation, and serving of food and beverages for College staff, pupils, and special functions.
  • Setting and clearing tables, as well as handling and storing food deliveries correctly.
  • Delivering polite, courteous, and efficient customer service at all times.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for someone with a friendly, approachable, \"can-do\" attitude. The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality role and a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (this is desired, but not essential as full training is provided!).
  • The ability to handle a busy service and support the team in meal preparation.
  • Flexibility to switch between tasks at short notice and respond to unplanned situations.
  • The ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, while also using initiative to work unsupervised when needed.
  • A solid understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
