The Role
As a Power Electronics Engineer at Densix, you will play a central role in translating our core IP into robust, manufacturable products. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary position suited to engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments from architecture through to testing and customer deployment. You will work closely with a small, high-calibre team and have direct influence on technical decisions, product direction, and future IP development.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, test and validate cutting-edge power conversion systems
- Participate in major projects in electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing fields
- Take ownership of subsystems and contribute to overall system architecture
- Develop and execute rigorous test plans, including validation, reliability, and compliance (e.g. EMC, thermal, lifetime testing)
- Collaborate with customers and partners to integrate Densix technology into real-world applications
- Contribute to the generation and protection of intellectual property
- Stay at the forefront of developments in power electronics and related technologies
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- MEng (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrable track record in technical design, simulation, and experimental validation in analogue and digital electronic systems and circuits
- Proficiency at electronic design and PCB layout, including rapid prototyping and design iteration
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to take ownership and learn quickly
Desirable
- Direct practical experience of designing, building, and testing power electronic circuits and systems
- Experience of working on electrical systems operating above 600VDC
- Microcontroller software experience applicable to power electronics control systems (e.g., high speed feedback systems written in bare-metal C at >10kHz loop frequency)
- Mechanical design skills and related experience with mechanical CAD systems (Solidworks, Fusion360 etc.)
- Exposure to compliance and certification processes (EMC, safety standards)
